Default Settings

These written FAQs are similar to the Essay Writer videos, with additional descriptions of button icons, placement, etc.

Default Settings

The main locations you'll be using are in both:

'File' then 'Properties...' and 'Edit' then 'Document Settings...'

In Properties, you can input your document's metadata.

We recommend you always add your name and the document's title.

Document Settings allows you customisation options across the program.

You can change your document and program appearances here.

The best way to learn is to change things and see what happens.

Once you've had a go, changing everything to how you want it:

Save your choices as your default settings.

Go to Edit, then 'Save as Blank Template...'

Be sure to explore the 'Document Settings' in 'Edit' and 'Properties' in 'File'.

Search Keywords: setup, set up, font, display, page, layout, setup, idea map, print setting, document, properties
